Plagiarism is using other’s work in your own work without acknowledgment or without giving any honor to the original author. It can be intentional or unintentional.

Plagiarism:
An author or authors may intentionally copy other’s work and claim it as their own

Self-Plagiarism:
It is to copy one's own work done previously. Self-Plagiarism is not allowed as the credit for the work has already been taken and credit can't be taken again for the same work.

Dual Submission or Duplicate Submission:
Submitting the same work in two different journals or conferences is also liable to be rejected.

Plagiarism before Publishing:
If more than 25% of the paper is plagiarized- the article may be rejected and the same is notified to the author.

How do we check plagiarism before publication?
We check with the use of plagiarism checkers. They can help us identify and fix any accidental or intentional copying, paraphrasing, or quoting without proper citation. Some popular plagiarism checkers are Urkund and Turnitin. AJRSJournal use Turnitin , Copyscape, Grammarly, and Quetext. All manuscripts submitted for publication are checked for plagiarism after submission and before being sent for peer review.

How do we handle plagiarism after publication?
Plagiarism generally constitutes false claim of authorship regardless of the material protected by copyright. Hence, the Author is responsible for it when it is concerned with academic credit. As soon as the dispute is noticed or raised, AJRS Journal checks whether the concern is true. If the work is proven as a plagiarized one, it will be removed from the journal immediately with a notification to the corresponding author.
